This could be so many things to so many people. I see demons and angels in conflict. Good and evil among humans. The cross being a sign that good and hope may prevail in some instances.

Very powerful. I interpret this as showing the souls of crucified people, not Jesus Christ but others, not ones who were crucified with Jesus and found in their final moment of agony a redemption but thise who were lost in darkness and oppression in the midst of their travail... voted
