The paint in this artwork is almost metalic and shimmering, despite the dark subject matter. Another painting of brown (blood) and green background. I have my own interpretation of this. You are right on, psychologically, spiritually, and artistically. Bravo, Katerina.

i just love this!! it is a bit frightening...my first reaction wss,"who left the door open?"...my feeling of any safety or comfort went away;an amazing piece of work, katerina...just fantastic !!!!YOU are fantastic to be able to do do these...so many feelings! i even see/feel my very, very cruel 2nd grade teacher in here;the kind of te person who should not BE a teacher at all, the kind who mininizes children, rather than upliftinug their self-esteem; she & her husband could not have kids, so they adoped one;last i heard of poor bruce, he was in prison (she is still alive...a narcissist, who builds up. or tries to by bringing others down with subtle (& sometimes not so down criticism...you know?) her self esteem must terribly low for her to pick on children ! she was sooo popular w/parents, so she believed her when we did complain....until several years later & the parents started comparing notes, discussing wjat WE, the kids, had said;we were we believed then !! all administrastion did was to tell her to stop it;small town, small schools, too few teachers;the third grade & 6th grade teachers saved me;saw art & end enencouraged my art...bless their hearts!!!!! ok, too long, dear katerina;love, LOVE the art;have not yet seen 1 i don't like !!!!!girl, you are so GOOG!!! thank you for sharing it & for sharing you;it means so much to me....love, judy
