What a powerful and evocative work. The rich and gorgeous colors belie the horror on the faces. Being from Wyoming, this brings to my mind the wonders of nature that are picture postcard beautiful to the tourists and others who view from the outside. But for those of us who know it in our bones, even though we love life here and live it to the hilt, we also know that this beauty can kill us in a heartbeat. We have all lost loved ones to avalanche, an icy creek, a flooded river, a spooked horse. This painting reminds me that human nature is no different, the joy and happiness and beauty very real and loveable, and yet the same big homo sapien brains are also capable of unspeakable cruelty. Your work never fails to inspire deep feeling and thought.

Immediate thought: Louie Armstrong and his rendition of the song, "What a wonderful world," and yet the faces show horror, fear, resignation, and everything but wonderful.The irony is certainly felt by this viewer concerning black history in this country with all its red, white and blue. Being from Greece, you may not have all this in mind, but that's okay. Your work engenders strong feelings in others and the particular message will be unique to all.
